Problem

It is Friday evening. You have five drivers. Five paper notes lie on the table. Plus three WhatsApp chats. Plus one old Excel sheet. Uber and Bolt show the revenue. But your drivers' hours are all over the place. It is 7 pm and you are still adding hours. On Monday, the tax office calls. Next Friday it starts again.

This is not just annoying. It costs you a lot of money. Five hours per week is 200 hours a year. That time is missing on the road or in the workshop. And when BOKraft shows up, it gets expensive fast. You must show the last six months of hours in minutes. One violation of the Arbeitszeitgesetz (ArbZG, the German working-time law) costs more than 1,000 €. In the worst case, you lose your Konzession (your permit to run a Mietwagen business).

How Fahrly solves it

HR in Fahrly handles two jobs that eat your time every week and every month: timesheets and payroll. Everything else comes second.

Timesheets run automatically. Fahrly reads every trip straight from Uber and Bolt. Breaks and shift changes come from the shift plan. Rest periods under § 4 ArbZG (the German working-time law) are calculated for you. Maximum hours under Fahrpersonalgesetz (the German drivers' hours law) are counted too. You see exact hours per driver per week. Colors show right away: all good or getting tight? You step in before BOKraft does. During an inspection, you print all timesheets as a PDF. The inspection takes 25 minutes instead of half a day.

Payroll in one click. At the end of the month, Fahrly calculates each driver's pay. Base hours, night bonus, Sunday bonus, expenses, tips — all follow your rules. You check the preview in five minutes. If something looks wrong, you fix it. Then one click, and the DATEV file is ready. Your tax office reads it directly. No more Excel rows. No more questions. No more typing mistakes. The actual payroll with social insurance still runs at your payroll office. But because the data is clean, it costs you much less there.

Who it is for

For rental-car bosses with at least three drivers. For owners still using paper, Excel, and WhatsApp today. For businesses in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, or Frankfurt driving on Uber and Bolt. BOKraft is strict — one missing record costs you money.

Not needed for solo drivers with no employees. FahrlyGo is enough for that. From the first employed driver, HR pays for itself in the first month. Just from the saved hours — never mind the fines you no longer risk.

What you get

Before: five hours of Excel per week. After: 45 minutes of review per month. Before: one full day of Excel for the tax office. After: one hour and done. Our last customer's BOKraft inspection was done in 25 minutes. Everything was clean. No follow-up questions. Two numbers matter: the time you get back, and the fines that no longer happen. Fahrly costs 100 € per month. You save many times that.

Frequently asked questions

How does Fahrly know how many hours each driver worked?

Fahrly reads trips straight from Uber and Bolt. Breaks and wait time come from the shift plan. You see exact working time per driver per week. Nobody types anything by hand.

Is the time tracking BOKraft-compliant?

Yes. We follow the 2019 ECJ ruling. The Arbeitszeitgesetz (ArbZG) and Fahrpersonalgesetz are covered. The data cannot be changed. The driver sees their hours anytime. During a BOKraft inspection, you print the record for any date range.

Does this replace our payroll provider?

No. Fahrly calculates the monthly pay — hours, bonuses, expenses, tips. Fahrly then hands the finished data to your payroll provider via a DATEV export. The actual payroll run with social insurance stays with them. But you save their data-entry time — and their bill goes down.

How much time do I save at month-end?

Our customers report: five hours of Excel per week become 45 minutes of review per month. At month-end, payroll reaches the tax office in under an hour — instead of a whole day of Excel.
